Declan Monaghan is an emerging artist from Naarm/Melbourne who lives and works on Wurundjeri Country. Declan works predominantly in intaglio, specialising in photographic etching.

I am proud to announce my debut exhibition, Digital Landscapes. The exhibition will be held at Red Gallery, in Fitzroy North, Melbourne.
Digital Landscapes is a series of abstract prints. Works play with colour, texture and repetition to create interpretive vignettes and glimpses of abstract ‘landscapes’. Every landscape is free-form and subjective, inviting the audience to find their own meanings.

November 2023 marks the 64th Annual Japan Print Society Exhibition, which will take place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. I am privileged to have my work included in this exhibition, beside other talented artists whose practice involves historical Mokuhanga print techniques.
